Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: WSW Wind Stength: F4 Surf / Sea State: Head high swell Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Not much wind around but went straight to Hove, cross shore 15-20mph.
Rigged in sub 5 mins and launched into medium-chunky shorebreak on 5.5m and
RWW83. Picked my gap, clenched buttocks and into the maelstrom, only to
find I'd left the fin cover on!! Thankfully, made it through and stuffed
the cover down my wetsuit. Idiot moment out the way, it was a really nice
session, even though barely planing at times. Swell was overhead, with
breaking waves a bit smaller on the inside. As long as you were on a wave
there was power on the inside and a bit of down the line face to swoop
around on. Getting upwind was a chore, but worth it for long downwind
rides.
